A little about me

Yoga came into my life almost twenty years ago through my grandmother, who had been among the early students of the Iyengar method in Mexico City.

At the time I was a runner, very stiff, constantly dealing with aches and pains, and she somehow convinced me to join her in class. For years, Tuesdays and Thursdays became our ritual.

I eventually moved toward Vinyasa, looking for something more fluid, and yoga gradually took me around the world, studying, practicing and teaching internationally.

Years later, in Rishikesh, I began studying with Usha Devi, a longtime student of B.K.S. Iyengar. Returning to this way of practicing as an adult changed my relationship with it completely. The precision I once resisted became a source of curiosity: What is happening here? Why does this body move this way? What changes when we approach it differently?

That curiosity led naturally into my study of anatomy and biomechanics, and continues to shape the way I practice, teach, and above all, remain a student.
